Medical care does not only mean treating an illness. It begins at a broader scale by building a healthier community. The scale of the hospital will express a strong presence among adjacent buildings, while the embracing massing will open a corner plaza to the public;the building also invites and connects nature and community through transparent multi-story lobby. As IMC houses not only medical functions, but also a good portion of Meditel, funeral service and retail use, a careful circulation separation and distribution is required. It showed the image of medical complex by simple mass and matrials. The podium where dynamic activities including a lot of medical programs and treatments are performed is indicated on the elevations concentrating upon the changes happening gradually from the public place. On the other hand, the textual and repetitive expression in the tower represents efficiency and regular routines in patient rooms.
